Beck, California’s sensational multi genre artist is bringing his signature sounds to the Tabernacle Atlanta!
Beck Hansen (birth name Bek David Campbell) was born in Los Angeles in 1970 and is a singer, songwriter, record producer, and multi instrumentalist. Over the years, his musical style has spanned many genres such as alternative rock, anti-folk (a genre that seeks to subvert the earnestness of politically charged 1960s folk music), art pop (a loosely defined style of pop music - influenced by pop art and postmodernism's integration of high and low culture – that draws from art theories and other forms of art, such as fine art, fashion, cinema, and avant garde literature), Americana (contemporary music that incorporates elements of various American roots music styles, including country, roots rock, folk, bluegrass, R&B and blues, resulting in a distinctive roots oriented sound), and alternative hip hop (a style that encompasses the wide range of hip hop styles that aren’t mainstream and draws from funk and rock, as well as jazz, soul, country, electronic, and even folk music). He’s had a stellar career with 12 studio albums, 1 compilation album, 38 music videos, 3 extended plays, 44 singles, 1 remix album, 15 demo tapes, and he’s sold over 16 million records worldwide.
