Mat Kearney, Oregon's sensational pop/rock artist is bringing his signature sounds to the Tabernacle Atlanta!
Mathew William Kearney was born in Eugene (Oregon) in 1978 and is a singer, songwriter, and multi instrumentalist (guitar, piano, harmonica, CP70, mandolin, synthesizer, and vibraphone). His musical style is best described as a blend of indie rock (a genre of alternative rock that originated in the United States and the United Kingdom in the 1980s, encapsulating the genres chamber pop, indie pop, lo fi, math rock, neo psychedelia, post punk revival, sadcore, and shoegaze), adult alternative pop/rock (a branch of alternative rock - emerging after the genre's absorption into the mainstream – featuring a smooth, melodic, radio friendly style that packages alternative's mellower side for wider consumption), and adult contemporary (popular radio music, ranging from 1960s vocal and 1970s soft rock music to predominantly ballad heavy music of the present day, with varying degrees of easy listening, pop, soul, rhythm and blues, and rock influence). He’s had a stellar career with 5 studio albums (2 of which were top 3 hits on Billboard's Top Rap Albums charts), 11 extended plays, 1 live album, 15 singles (3 of which have been certified Gold in the US), and a Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Award.
