NF, Michigan’s sensational christian hip-hop artist is bringing his signature rhymes to Tabernacle Atlanta!
NF (birth name Nathan John Feuerstein) was born in Saginaw (Michigan) in 1991 and is a christian hip-hop rapper, singer, and musician. He had a difficult childhood due to his parents divorcing, his mother’s boyfriend physically abusing him, and his mother committing suicide. He sought refuge in music but it quickly became more than just an escape. He said in an interview with Rapzilla magazine, “First I started listening to it to get away from my problems. Then I started writing it to get away from my problems.” He would write songs for hours and record them on a karaoke machine by playing instrumentals into one mic while rapping into another. He took part in the Fine Arts Festival rap competition in 2008 and took second place. He self-released his debut album (under the name Nathan Feuerstein) titled Moments in 2010 and it led to him getting a record deal with Xist Music. He adopted his initials as his stage name and began working on his eponymous EP but it never came out due to a dispute with Xist. They parted ways and he signed with Capitol CMG in 2014. He released his EP under them and followed it up with 2 albums; 2015’s Mansion and 2016’s Therapy Session.
